About Mjay

My name is MJay and I am a 24 year old proud alumnus of the University of Georgia.  I finished my B.A. in Communication last summer from the finest school in the South and I’m proud to be blogging here with my good friend Chris.  You might be wondering what makes me qualified to sit here and write before you today and it’s a totally valid question!  Both Chris and I have gone through a lot over the past couple years and we felt like we have had some fantastic experiences.  These lessons, many of which were learned the hard way should provide some nice advice, some honest help, and a little good natured entertainment for the post graduate in all of us.

I am currently working as an Internal Auditor for a branch of a software company here in Athens, GA.  I have been with the company almost three years, working part-time while I was in college and moving to a full-time position post-graduation.

I was born in Orange County, California, but only lived there a few years before moving to Georgia.  After bouncing around a bit, we finally settled in North Atlanta, I myself taking off for Athens, GA in 2003 to attend college.  I have a passion many things, including sports, travel, writing, entrepreneurship, personal finance, good food, fitness, and music.  Along with Chris, I love the game of soccer and have been playing and refereeing “the beautiful game” for longer than I can remember.

In the near future, I’m planning on running my first triathlon, getting my Real Estate License, and starting a small business.  Hopefully I can share with you my journey through this exciting point in life.  In the mean time, I’ll be bringing you a little bit of everything, from book reviews, nostalgic college posts, and big life decisions.  I hope you enjoy the content here!
